I am a retired accountant and have worked in both nonprofit as well as for profit accounting fields. The former, as an accountant for federal government agencies (USAF at Lowry AFB, CO and the Pentagon; NASA/JPL, Pasadena), and the latter, for various commercial businesses (Carpet One , Glendale; Carousel Carpet, Pasadena; The Theosophical Society, Ojai; The Woodlands Children’s Museum, The Woodlands, TX), as well as having my own accounting business (Lafayette Accounting Service, Boulder, CO).
A life-long interest in spiritual philosophies which are supportive to both rational thought and the concepts of love and “one-ness” drew me to the foundational beliefs of Ernest Holmes in the mid 1980’s and I attended Mile High Church in Denver. I began attending Santa Clarita CSL in August 2014 when I visited and saw that it was a warm, and inclusive community that sponsored creativity and fun. Being a very small Center, it was obvious that every person’s contribution matters. This inspired me to offer my accounting experience and I agreed to act as Treasurer on the Board of Trustees in November 2016.
It has been my pleasure to facilitate the Craft Club, the Holiday Cookie Decorating Party; and various craft workshops.
