In 1998 after a bit of “church shopping” I was introduced to Science of Mind by a friend. I had been church shopping and had not found a good fit with the way I was thinking about God or should I say my belief of God. I was in a sort of limbo and could not come to grips with the traditional teachings I had learned as a child. Santa Clarita Church of Religious Science had a “bring a friend to church Sunday service” and I’ve been there ever since.
In 1999 I took my first class, which was the Foundations course, after that I took 4 or 5 other course that were being offered as part of the Science of Mind curriculum. In 2002 I started my Practitioner I class and followed with Practitioner II and the rest as they say is “history”.
I have enjoyed being a part of this wonderful church. As practitioner taking part in Sunday services and working with our members as a Practitioner has been a fulfilling part of my church membership.
I have served on the board of directors in various capacities and look forward to all that our church offers other spiritual seekers.
